Underwater camera housing, communications, and audio rentals based in Los Angeles. Everything here is available for pickup in the LA area or can ship nationwide. Systems rent bare or with an operator. My team and I shoot these systems, so if you need someone in the water, that's an option too.

Rental Terms:
Rental day — 24 hours. Weekend pickups run Friday to Monday and are charged as a single day.
Weekly rate — Seven days at three days' rate. This does not apply to the Immersive Housing.
Ports — Every housing ships with a flat or dome port, specced to your lens.
Insurance — A certificate of insurance is required on all rentals, with Trent Ellis Films named as additional insured.
Operator — All systems rent bare, with one exception: the Blackmagic URSA Cine Immersive housing goes out with a certified operator.
Pickup and shipping — Pickup in Los Angeles, or shipped nationwide. Shipping billed at cost.
Lead time — 48 hours for most systems. Allow a week for the Immersive housing or any build needing project-specific changes.
FAQ:
Do you rent housings without an operator?
Everything rents bare except the Immersive housing. That one comes with a certified operator at an additional cost.
What ports come with the housing?
Every housing ships with a port, flat or dome depending on the lens you're running. Tell me what you're shooting and I'll spec it before it goes out.
Do you ship outside Los Angeles?
Yes. Most rentals get picked up here in LA, but I ship anywhere in the country and bill shipping at cost. Give me a heads up on out-of-state jobs so there's time for transit.
What insurance do you need from me?
A COI naming Trent Ellis Films as additional insured, covering replacement value. I need it before the gear leaves.
How far in advance should I book?
48 hours is usually plenty. The Immersive housing needs about a week, same for anything where we're configuring ports or accessories around your setup.
What's the deepest rated system you have?
The deepest housing is rated to 450 feet or 137 meters.
Do you offer discounts for long term rentals or smaller budgets?
Yes. Longer bookings come down from the standard rate, and if you're working with a tight budget I'll do my best to work with you.
